Latrunculin B, NSC 339663
- Appearance:Lyophilized Solid
Latrunculin B is an actin filament modulator. 10 to 100-fold more potent than cytochalasins. Where cytochalasin D induces dissolution of F-actin and stress fiber contraction in fibroblasts in culture.Latrunculin B causes stress fibers toshortening and thicken.EffectsN1E-115 cells (mouse neuroblastoma) at starting concentrationsof 90 nM (NI43T3 cells, 0.9M). Maximumeffect at 2.5M. Fetal Bovine serum will slowly inactivate. Inhibitscofilin-actin binding (ED~50 M).Huntingtin coordinates the dynein-mediated dynamic positioning of endosomes and lysosomes.Cytoskeletal remodeling in differentiated vascular smooth muscle is actin isoform dependent and stimulus dependent.Differential Involvement of the Actin Cytoskeleton in Differentiation and Mitogenesis of Thyroid Cells: Inactivation of Rho Proteins Contributes to Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate-Dependent Gene Expression but Prevents Mitogenesis.A Role for Cytoskeletal Elements in the Light-Driven Translocation of Proteins in Rod Photoreceptors. The Potato Virus X TGBp2 Movement Protein Associates with Endoplasmic Reticulum-Derived Vesicles during Virus Infection.
