p-Nitrophenyl-β-D-mannopyranoside (also known as 4-Nitrophenyl-β-D-mannopyranoside) is a chromogenic α-mannosidase substrate which yields a yellow solution upon cleavage.
This substrate is useful for determining the activity of β-D-mannopyranosidase.
Applications:
• as a substrate to analyze the action mechanism of Pyrococcus furiosus thermostable glycosidase (PFTG) and kinetic parameters by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC)
• as a substrate for GH1-glucosidase (EaBgl1A) enzyme
• as a substrate for screening cucumber enzymes
• A glycoside for proteomics research
