Description
Novobiocin Sodium Salt is an inhibitor of HSP90. Novobiocin interacts with the C-terminal ATP-binding domain of HSP90, unlike 17-AAG, geldanamycin, herbimycin A, or radicicol, which all bind to the N-terminal ATP-binding site of HSP90. Novobiocin is also useful in the production of positively supercoiled plasma DNA, targeting the nucleotide-binding site of gyrase B.
