Protein Solubilizer 40 is a non-ionic surfactant with extremely low levels of conductivity. Its chemical name is Nonylphenyl-polyethylene glycol. It has very low peroxide and aldehyde impurities, which enables a high retention of activity for proteins.
It can be reconstituted with 100 mL of sterile, distilled water. If it is diluted further it should be with a medium that contains 5 percent fetal calf serum. It should be stored at room temperature in a cool dry area and protected from light.
• Lysing, isolation, and purification of functional membrane proteins and plant proteins

|Handling||Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation. Keep away from heat and source of ignition. Empty containers pose a fire risk, evaporate residue under fume hood. Ground all equipment containing material. Do not breathe dust.|
