Dihydrogen sulfate form of the weekly basic antibiotic Nourseothricin consisting of components F, E and D. Effective against gram negative and gram positive bacteria. Also effective against mycobacteria, mycoplasms, protozoa, yeasts, viruses and plants.
Nourseothricin sulfate is commonly used as a selection agent for recombinant yeast strains.
